Election Results

Congratulations to our newly elected leadership!

One of the most rewarding ways a member can be involved with the chapter is by becoming an officer or member of the Board of Directors.  Having a direct impact on guiding the chapter and interacting with members is a fantastic experience.  Join us in welcoming these amazing nurses willing to serve our chapter!

Previous Executive Director for Omicron Delta from 2005-2020

Please explain any leadership position you have held with the Omicron Delta, Sigma or how you have been involved with the chapter during the last five years:

I was the Executive Director of Omicron Delta from 2005 - 2020.  I began my term as Treasurer in 2020 and still serve in that capacity for the chapter.

What contributions do you feel you can bring to Omicron Delta and our members?:

.....I was an employee of the Omicron Delta Chapter of Sigma for 15 years.  During those 15 years, was in charge of chapter operations and have been part of the chapter’s three-point finance system (Treasurer, Operations, and Bookkeeper).
Because of my knowledge of the chapter’s finances and budget, I feel that being the Treasurer is the best fit to maintain the chapter’s financial stability.  As the previous Director of Chapter Operations and current Treasurer,  I worked to create the annual budgets, process expense sheets, and payroll as well as manage the payroll process with our outside vendors.
I would really love to continue to be a part of Omicron Delta and I think I would be an excellent candidate for the Treasurer position because of my experience in the last 20 years with the chapter.

Current Counselor and university representative for Sigma-Omicron Delta
Committees: Faculty Excellence Committee, BlackBoard Ultra transition committee, Community Advisory Council at Hawaii Campus, Professional Standards Committee at the University of Phoenix, Faculty Advisor at the University of Phoenix, Facilitation of National General Faculty Meetings.

Please explain any leadership position you have held with the Omicron Delta, Sigma or how you have been involved with the chapter during the last five years:

I have served as the counselor and university representative for the University of Phoenix for two terms.  I have attended several virtual induction ceremonies, as well as evening chats.  I have been involved with Sigma while working with the university students and faculty.   I attend monthly meetings. Currently working with other university collaborators to increase membership for 2023-2024.

What contributions do you feel you you can bring to Omicron Delta and our members?

.....As Program Chair for the BSN program at University of Phoenix, I have the knowledge and contacts to assist with Omicron Delta collaboration.  We are currently working on a collaborative effort with Omicron Delta and University of Phoenix. A nursing conference will be held in September 2024.
I would like to be considered for a Board position in Omicron Delta for several reasons. As stated on the Sigma website, “The mission of Sigma and its chapters is to provide leadership and scholarship in nursing practice, education, and research to enhance the health of all people and to support the learning and professional development of its members who strive to improve nursing care worldwide.”
Personally, I would appreciate the opportunity to continue to address this mission and to network with recognized nurse leaders.
Professionally, I would welcome the continued opportunity to share the importance of Sigma membership to university students and faculty. Since the University of Phoenix has a large student/faculty body, I would strive to be instrumental in communicating the importance of this esteemed society. And thus, I would hopefully do my small part in fulfilling this mission by improving nursing care worldwide.
