Antoinette Dziedzic, PhD., MSN, RN
Omicron Delta President 2022-2024

Happy New Year, Omicron Delta Members!

The new Sigma Organizational Call to Action is REPRESENT!

Within that word is the word “PRESENT”

My “PRESENT” to you is a very special gift that you can never see,

The reason it’s so special is it’s just for you from me. Whenever you are happy or even feeling blue, you only need to think of me, and know I think of you. You can never unwrap this “PRESENT”, it doesn’t come with ribbons or bows. Just close your eyes and think of all the LOVE, COURAGE, and HONOR that is “PRESENT” inside of YOU!

Within SIGMA’S new Call to Action, set forth by the new President, Dr. Sandra Bibb, we are challenged to:

REFLECT and show the change we want to see by communicating a Caring Culture

RESPECT everyone by cultivating Cultural Humility, and

RESPOND to the demand for current and relevant approaches by championing Contemporary Practice.

The Omicron Delta Chapter is REPRESENTING excellence in nursing leadership, scholarship, and service after receiving our 9th Chapter Key Award and Regional Excellence Award! A big congratulations to our active members who make this recognition possible. As the saying goes, we are not “resting on our laurels!”

WE HAVE SOME BIG PLANS FOR THE COMING YEAR!

Mark your calendar for our 1st Annual Knowledge and Innovation Conference. We are partnering with the University of Phoenix College of Nursing for this free, virtual one-day event. Save the date...September 28, 2024

.

On behalf of the Omicron Delta Chapter, I wish you a peaceful holiday season and joy in the new year! Take time to Reflect on the past year, Respect yourself and one another, and Respond to the promise of the New Year!

Chapter Service

A Million Thanks
A Million Thanks provides support and appreciation to our active and veteran military men and women through sending letters and granting betterment of life wishes, as well as providing higher education scholarships to their children.  Our Million Thanks webpage will share how to get started.  We would love for our Omicron Delta members to make a difference to those that are giving so much.

Kindness Campaign
The campaign involves giving business card recognition to those who demonstrate gestures of kindness. It is the hope of Omicron Delta that kindness will beget kindness; affirmation will help kindness spread. And we will make a difference in creating a kinder, gentler, more caring world. If you wish to give out Kindness Campaign cards, click the pdf template links on our Kindness Campaign page.
