Welcome to the Omicron Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International!
We are proud to be the Nursing Honor Society associated with the University of Phoenix
and have about 2,000 active members around the world.

Happy Summer Omicron Delta members!

I am thrilled to be here as your new President and I am very much grateful for the warm welcome I have received from the Omicron Delta Board. It is truly a great honor to serve as the next President for Omicron Delta. I want to thank Antoinette Dziedzic for her commitment and leadership to Omicron Delta over these past two years and her prior officer engagements.

While Dean of Nursing at the University of Phoenix, the nurse leader at the Tucson campus, Ela Joy Lehrman, started the journey for UOP to start a Sigma Chapter. With her efforts and those of nursing faculty the Omicron Delta chapter was inaugurated in 1998. I have kept actively engaged in the chapter in various roles including as its Treasurer for multiple years. I am proud now to serve as its President for the next two years.

I now see the chapter continuing on the journey set by Antoinette, the current board and the prior leadership of Omicron Delta. I see a very bright future ahead for Omicron Delta because we are building on the strength and excellence of our prior leadership and commitments made by the leadership. However, it is going to take each of us working as a team doing what we can to make the chapter stronger. This engagement is not just for the officers of Omicron Delta, but for each member of the chapter.

Let us race to a bright future because there are many opportunities that lie ahead. We are all part of the team and one community, focused on the goals of chapter success.

As we embark on a new “biennium” for the chapter, I hope that we can achieve further and new engagement by the active members and reignite the inactive members to enhance the success of the chapter. As given by Sigma’s call to action, let us Represent Sigma and Omicron Delta by engaging and reaching out to all those affiliated with Omicron Delta. I look forward to working with you and the chapter over the next two years.

With much Love, Courage and Honor...

Antoinette has been critical to our success in the past few years and her contributions have played a major role in the success of the chapter.  Thank you for your leadership and vision. You are the reason for our continued success. It will be tough to follow in your shoes. Yet, you, and our prior leaders, have created the momentum to assure Omicron is successful. Your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.

Thank you for making Omicron Delta one of the best chapters within Sigma.
