Welcome to the Omicron Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International!
The Omicron Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society is located at the University of Phoenix and has over 2,000 active members around the world. Welcome!

Welcome to our new President!

I am Dr. Lisa Radesi, DNP, MSN, CNS, RN, PHN. I am currently the President of the SIGMA Omicron Delta Chapter. I began my career as a medical/surgical nurse and paramedic in upstate New York, later transitioning to the emergency department in a West Virginia hospital. I have held various roles at the University of Phoenix School of Nursing including dean of nursing, dean of academic affairs and specialized programs, and campus college chair. I have also served as an adjunct faculty specializing in pediatrics for Pacific Union College. My roles at Valley Children’s Hospital Emergency Department in Madera, California included staff RN, charge RN and clinical educator. At Valley Children’s, I was instrumental in the development of a preceptor course and a new graduate nurse core curriculum. I also taught ENPC, TNCC, CPR, PALS, and ACLS for the hospital.

I have published on Pediatric Septic Shock and on Institutional Partnerships along with Infections across Populations. I have also participated in several poster and podium presentations locally, nationally and internationally. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Science in Nursing with a clinical nurse specialist focus from California State University, Fresno. I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

I look forward to our journey together with Omicron Delta over the next two years

Water Saves Lives

After a successful 2019 - 2020 campaign, where our chapter raised over $2020 - the 2020-2021 campaign has begun!  The goal for this next campaign is $2220 which represents matching the $2,020 of last year plus $200 representing Florence Nightingale’s 200 th birthday
With the birthday theme this year we ask you to consider Be Birthday Bold!
Honor a friend, family member, or colleague with a gift to water.org of $1 per year of age as a birthday gift. Donations may be made online, directly to chapter's water.org campaign.  All donations are tax-deductible.  To help someone get access to clean water, please consider donating to the 2020-2021 Omicron Delta H2Omicron Delta campaign:   Omicron Delta Water.org 2020-2021 Campaign

The next walk for water event will be in the fall of 2020 as we plan for the virtual Education Conference in November.  Be sure and watch The Circle discussions for more details as they become available!

Water.org empowers people around the world with access to safe water and sanitation, giving women hope, children's health, and families a bright future.
Please help Omicron Delta by donating to help change lives with safe water.

Access to clean water isn't just about saving lives, it's also about changing the nature of one's life and allowing them to live up to their potential as human beings. - Matt Damon, Co-Founder, Water.org
